The fund was created in 2002 by Unibank for Savings to honor the everyday heroes who responded to the September 11th tragedy and to help local emergency personnel become better prepared.
Organizations that deploy emergency service teams in the towns of the Blackstone Valley: Millbury, Grafton, Northbridge, Upton, Hopedale, Mendon, Blackstone, Millville, Uxbridge, Douglas and Sutton are encouraged to apply. Greater Worcester Community Foundation is currently accepting grant applications for its Fairlawn Foundation Fund. The Fairlawn Foundation Fund is dedicated to improving health and health care in the Worcester area through grants to nonprofit organizations in Central Massachusetts. Since its inception in 1992, more than $6 Million has been awarded in grants to support capital needs, clinical services, and professional education.
In 2017, the Fairlawn Foundation will be focused on innovative projects that address mental health needs in our community. The Fund is especially interested in projects that:

Created in 2001, in dedication of Mary Grogan’s decades of leadership in the Worcester County 4-H Foundation, the fund specifically benefits young residents of Millbury. The fund provides financial support for educational and recreational projects in the following categories:
