Workshop Description: The end of 2017 brought a new federal tax bill, along with challenges and opportunities for the nonprofit sector. Nonprofits of all types and sizes across Worcester County share similar questions about what this new legislation will mean for their work, including how it will impact fundraising, advocacy and most importantly, the people and communities they serve.
In this two hour workshop, the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network will discuss the ways in which Massachusetts nonprofits can prepare for the challenges ahead and take advantage of new opportunities presented by tax reform in the near future. Attendees will also engage in an interactive advocacy exercise to help think through how they might want to educate their legislators about their nonprofits works, and what specifically would be their “ask”.
