We focus on practical programs, believe in the power of peers learning together, and engage high-quality presenters in order to foster  a strong network of nonprofits in our region.

This workshop will cover fundamentals of the state budget and tax system in Massachusetts to help participants navigate the state budget process and understand how it affects their work. Specific tools offered by MassBudget will be made available to session attendees. Learn more.

The end of 2017 brought a new federal tax bill, along with challenges and opportunities for the nonprofit sector.  Nonprofits of all types and sizes across Worcester County share similar questions about what this new legislation will mean for their work, including how it will impact fundraising, advocacy and most importantly, the people and communities they serve.  In this two hour workshop, the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network will discuss the ways in which Massachusetts nonprofits can prepare for the challenges ahead and take advantage of new opportunities presented by tax reform in the near future. Learn more.

In August 2016, the FASB implemented an accounting standards update (ASU 2016-14) to refresh the previous reporting model.  This briefing will acquaint you with the current standards for nonprofit financial statement presentation and the main provisions of this ASU.
