ABOUT THE FUND

The GLBT Partnership Fund was established through a challenge grant from the Funders for Lesbian and Gay Issues to begin building a permanent philanthropic resource for the GLBT community in Worcester County.

The purpose of the fund is to improve the physical, mental, social and emotional health and wellbeing of the whole community by fostering a safe and just environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people who live or work in the Greater Worcester region.

We intend to reach this goal by building the capability of GLBT projects and organizations; by supporting nonprofits to test new program approaches; and by influencing existing providers and social sector institutions to be welcoming and responsive to the diverse gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered population of Worcester County.

A local advisory committee of GLBT people and allies working with the Foundation will review and recommend awards. All eligible applications received by the deadline will be given full consideration.
