Worcester, MA - R. Joseph Salois, president of Atlas Distributing of Auburn, was recently elected Chairman of the board of Greater Worcester Community Foundation, a charitable resource dedicated to serving the philanthropic communities of Central Massachusetts.
Joe has been a member of the foundation board since 2004 and was previously vice president. He is a 1998 graduate of Nichols College where he also serves as a trustee.
Joe has held many board leadership roles including Saint John’s High School, St. Vincent Hospital, Seven Hills Foundation, United Way of Central Massachusetts, and Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce.
He and his wife, Joanne, have three sons and reside in Sutton.
His election fills the term vacated by Dr. Peter H. Levine, who died in December. Warner S. Fletcher, director of Fletcher, Tilton & Whipple, PC was also elected Vice Chair at the same meeting.
