place to go for information on any and all questions regarding nonprofits.

BoardSource is a nonprofit organization dedicating to improving the effectiveness of nonprofit organizations by strengthening their boards of directors. It provides a number of services and programs, publishes excellent materials on governance, and, in cooperation with CompassPoint Nonprofit Services, publishes Board Café (see above).

The Alliance for Nonprofit Management is a membership organization dedicated to "raising the bar on quality." It sponsors a national conference, an electronic newsletter, Pulse!, and has a FAQ section where you can get information on matters ranging from board development to risk management.
