Awardees of the Fund to End Hunger and Basic Needs Capital Grants have been announced.
The Foundation’s largest competitive granting program of the year, Community Grants support nonprofit organizations that build healthy and vibrant communities through creating access to opportunity and upward mobility in Greater Worcester.
The grant program aims to enable organizations and individuals engaged in the creative sector to advance strategies outlined in the City’s Cultural Plan, released at the end of May in partnership with GWCF and Worcester Cultural Coalition.
Over $332K Awarded to Address Mental Health Needs in Worcester
In it's 21st year of granting, this fund supports projects across a spectrum that benefit Leicester residents.
Awards ranged from $300 to $5,000 and were given to 399 students who are beginning or continuing their college educations.
The City of Worcester, in partnership with Greater Worcester Community Foundation and the Worcester Cultural Coalition, is pleased to announce the completion of the City of Worcester Cultural Plan, “Becoming Worcester: The Evolution of a Creative City.”
These resources are aimed to empower non-profits to develop innovative ways to increase engagement with diverse communities that represent Worcester’s changing demographics.
The fund advances projects that increase access to healthcare or health promotion services that address the social determinants of health.
The Fund, established in 1977, provides grants for civic and community projects that help enhance the lives of Brookfield residents and enrich the cultural community.
